The McKinley Service team provides the quality backup you expect and can count on when you need assistance. We are locally based and McKinley is in its 61st year in existence. Our technicians undergo both factory training and our own training to equip each one with the top skills necessary to do the job. Each department prides itself on handling the client’s individual needs and expediting requests in a timely, efficient manner. We make it a priority to meet your needs of today, yet give the care and attention of yesterday. Tom Vandersommen - Service Manager – California
Tom was a career Navy man who brought his skills to the marketplace and has been serving
at McKinley since 1996. He is a highly qualified electrician and teaches the voluntary skill
training courses that McKinley offers its employees. Tom knows his men and is the skilled
voice that is always there to solve a problem. He is a born leader and offers his leadership
freely to all. His technical skills span the entire range of products that McKinley provides.
His field support ensures the success of each installation and repair. He provides strength
in the field each day in his training and knowledge.
Brad Byrd - Wheelchair lifts - Northern California
Brad oversees all the installations and service work performed in Northern California.
He is capable of doing the work himself, but also supervises and performs the job site
pre-installation visits. He then attends the inspections and gets the final permit approved
by the governing agency.
Ernie Sivero – Elevators - California
Ernie is a senior licensed elevator technician and brings a wealth of knowledge to the job.
He performs field supervision and site preparedness visits. He performs all the inspection
control and works in training with all the technicians.
Chuck VanderHill
Chuck is a licensed technician in the State of California and City of Los Angeles and supervises wheelchair lift installations in the Southern California region through all phases, from working with contractors to get a site prepared for installation to the final inspection of a lift.
