Vertical Wheelchair and Platform Lifts   Frequently Asked Questions

  • Vertical Platform Lifts

    1. How much room does it take?
A normal, standard wheelchair lift will take up 4.5' x 5'.
This can vary with platform size changes and the
    use of ramps or pits.

    2. Do I need a permit?
A permit is not required for residential installations.
All other installations require a permit by the State
of California and installation by a State permitted
    installation company and technician.

    3. How much does it cost?
A residential lift will run approximately $5000 and a
commercial lift can run from $9000 to as high as
$20,000. All depends on lifting height, platform size,
and whether it is enclosed or not with exterior walls.
